The innovative design of the KED MITRO UE-1 helmet integrates two high-performance system components of the helmet market. On the one hand, it utilises the BOA^® adjustment system for perfect fit and on the other, the MIPS^® brain protection system for ultimate safety. Both systems work in perfect harmony to deliver the optimum in comfort and protection. The EPS-inner shell of the MITRO UE-1 provides a maximum of impact damping. The MIPS^® system improves the helmet’s safety features even further through its unique deflection of the rotational force encountered during a collision, reducing the risk of the most common cause of brain injury in cycling crashes. In combination with the rechargeable rear light, the helmet provides maximum safety for the daily ride to work or while exploring the urban jungle.

The MITRO perfectly combines protection and fit by adding two market-leading systems to its feature list. The MIPS^® (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) system can reduce the harmful forces certain impacts can have on the brain, by redirecting the energy. Test have shown that the MIPS^® always adds protection in any kind of impact. But a system like MIPS^® can only work if the helmet fits perfectly. That was the reason why we combined the MIPS® system with the well-known BOA^® adjustment system. The BOA^® seamlessly integrates into the helmet to dial in a custom, micro-adjustable fit for enduring comfort. Simply turn the dial to tighten or loosen the fit system.
