THE NEW eFLOAT LINEUP

Whether you’re getting to work, taking a cross-town shopping trip or escaping it all to recharge your batteries at the weekend, the MERIDA eFLOAT lineup has a bike for you. By combining our expertise in aluminium frame design with Bosch’s refined and powerful drive systems, numerous battery options and intuitive display units, we’ve created a trio of models that are subtly adapted to suit the needs of all-around urban, trekking and light cargo duties. Thanks to practical and versatile frame designs paired with strong and supportive Bosch drive systems, each will give you more time to do the things that matter.

An e-bike is an incredibly versatile tool for work or play - but by using one platform to create three different dedicated models, we’ve made the eFLOAT lineup more versatile than most. All bikes come with mudguards, rear rack, a kickstand, built-in lock, plus front and rear lights as standard, and each bike has a low-step through frame option if you need more clearance. We also use our sleek WIRE PORT cable routing system as standard, so the bikes look as good as they ride. However, with careful kit choices, we’ve ensured each bike will fit your needs like a well-tailored suit - which one you pick depends on your style.

Quality display and control units are essential on bikes such as the eFLOAT models and we use a different number of the multitude of options Bosch offers depending on the price point and application. To control the drive system and display battery life, we use the Bosch LED remote control or the Purion 200 display controller. For the stand-alone displays, we specify the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 display, depending on the model. The Kiox 300 has a roughly 2“ wide colour screen and the Kiox 500 has a larger ~2.8“ wide colour screen. Both can display basic information such as speed, battery range, assistance level, but in conjunction with the Bosch eBike Flow smartphone app, they can also be used to navigate or show incoming calls and messages. It’s also possible to use the display unit as the key to lock the drive system of the bike, disabling the drive unit and adding extra security to the mechanical protection of the eFLOAT’s physical lock.

Designed to meet diverse needs with one platform, the eFLOAT family utilises specific components for trekking (TK), on and offroad explorations (CC) and light cargo duties (HD). All models feature built-in lights powered by the main battery and a rear light seamlessly integrated into the rear rack, plus kickstand, lock and mudguard. The comfortable yet sporty geometry and the powerful assistance help to cover ground efficiently and can help to turn mundane chores into fun-filled outings. The HD-specific carrier configuration allows up to 10 kg of load to be carried up front, combined with an impressive 40 kg at the rear instead of the standard 27 kg of the TK and CC models. This gives the eFLOAT HD model up to 50 kg of load capacity while retaining the handling and silhouette of a classic bike.

The new eFLOAT CITY features one of the lowest step-through frame designs in the industry, making getting on and off the bike a breeze, even in busy inner-city traffic situations. The frame features our ENERGY CRADLE design, which provides unparalleled frame stiffness. This is essential for consistent handling with a low step-through frame, especially when braking, at speed, under heavy load or on uneven terrain.

Using the Bosch Performance Line drive unit, designed for city and urban bikes, the 75 Nm motor provides plenty of power on climbs and under heavy loads. The large battery of up to 750 Wh (depending on the model) offers a long range, making daily recharging a thing of the past. With an urban focus, the eFLOAT CITY rolls on 700c wheels with fast-rolling 50 mm tyres, and the 63 mm travel suspension fork keeps things smooth and controllable even on rougher inner-city streets, cobbled sections and cycle tracks. Features like an adjustable stem and suspension seat post add to the eFLOAT CITY’s comfort and help make trips in and around the city an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
