TIME WARP TT
The stiffest, lightest and fastest MERIDA designed TT bike yet.
INTEGRATED CARBON COCKPIT
Aerodynamic drag is the biggest resistance when riding a bike, and its optimisation is the toughest challenge in time trial racing. Our completely new full carbon one-piece design delivers a substantial part of the aerodynamic and weight saving advantages of the new TIME WARP TT. The aerodynamic drag is reduced by 5 Watts, and the overall weight saving is 200g. The new cockpit is available in two different sizes for perfect adjustability.
OPTIMISED WEIGHT
While low weight is not the only focus when it comes to designing a new time trial bike, it still plays a crucial role on particular demanding and undulating time trial courses. Our designers were able to reduce the overall weight of the TIME WARP TT by an impressive 400g in comparison to its predecessor. This was achieved by losing 200g from the cockpit and 200g from the frame due to further improved carbon layup.
BRAKE COVER NEWLY ADDED HOUSING
To eliminate as many areas which can create drag was one of the primary targets when designing the new TIME WARP TT. The brakes have always been an area which is ‘in the line of fire’ and offers great potential for improving the aerodynamic drag. By creating new housing that hides the centre-pull front and the rear brake, the aerodynamic drag could be further reduced by 3 Watts without impacting brake performance.
FULL CABLE INTEGRATION
Hiding cables from the wind is another the key objectives on time trial bikes. The new TIME WARP TT offers complete integration of all electronic gear and brake cables, which in combination with the newly developed cockpit and brake housing provides a significant reduction in aerodynamic drag, without sacrificing shifting or braking performance.
INTEGRATED DI2 JUNCTION BOX
The centrally located junction box is positioned within the main frame, above the bottom bracket, and allows for easy access, charging and servicing.
