ONE-FORTY 500 wins over the MBUK team
Following last year's Trail Bike of the Year win for the ONE-FORTY 700 (full story here), the MBUK team were keen to find out how the more affordable ONE-FORTY 500 would perform on the trail and published their findings in the latest issue of MBUK.
With the same frame and suspension configuration as the Trail Bike of the Year 2023, the ONE-FORTY 500 once again impressed with its uphill pedalling performance, bob-free acceleration and efficient riding position. But a trail bike is not just about the ups; it is also about the downs. And that's where, according to the MBUK team, the ONE-FORTY 500 will make you smile. "The long reach and slack head angle make it stable at speed, while the short seat tube and the huge seatpost drop mean it's easy to get low on the bike", so one of the key comments from the test team about the well thought through geometry and frame layout.
Their final verdict:
"With award winning geometry and a sensible spec, the One-Forty 500 delivers a grin inducing ride."
+ Fun, agile handling
+ Supportive suspension
+ Efficient, upright pedalling position
+ Decent spec for the money
