‘Impressive’ for the ONE-FORTY 6000 from Wideopen

After first testing the ONE-FORTY at last year's MERIDA EX 3-day enduro race in the South West of England, where our ONE-FORTY gave a solid 'out of the box' performance, Wideopen's Pete Scullion did not stop there and took the bike home for some long term testing.

To jump straight to the point, the ONE-FORTY picked up where it left off after the event and continued to 'impress' Pete. Looking first at the specs, Pete was 'impressed' with the solid and super functional build and great value for money. When it came to riding, it was the bike's versatility, being able to cover “anything from fast singletrack to chunky mountain paths, the One-Forty just wants to go” that left its mark.

Wideopen’s final verdict:
“The Merida One-Forty 6000 takes everything that the latest Merida platform offers in carbon fibre flavour, wraps it up with a high performance, low-frills spec that outshines its more expensive stablemates…and is on the short list of bikes I would pay my own money for”.

  • Climbs like a rat up a drainpipe
  • Engaging, confidence-inspiring descending
  • Solid spec
  • Great value
