Category Highlights
Both frame-platforms have the identical Metron TT aero cockpit, which is a unique co-development in between MERIDA and Vision. It is as a binding-part of the TIME WARP’s total bike concept and the main reason that we were able to shape off 400 grams in total weight from the predecessor’s WARP TT frame-kit.
We have increased the aerodynamic performance once again by optimising tube shapes even further and integrate exposed cables into the overall frame design. The aerodynamic improvement leads to wattage savings of a further 9 Watts.
The TIME WARP offers outstanding flexibility through the hugely adjustable handlebar and seat post, allowing the rider to adjust the riding position to suit the discipline and course profile.
Besides the aerodynamic performance, we have also reduced the weight through a new improved and optimised carbon fibre layup. The overall weight saving is 400 g in comparison to its predecessor.
The main difference in between the TT (time trial) and TRI (triathlon) frames is a differently designed upper-area of head tube and the way the carbon stem of the one-piece cockpit is integrated into the frame. This elongated head tube allows for a slightly more upright and therefore comfortable riding position, ideal for the long distances covered in triathlon events.
