BikeRadar has given the BIG.NINE TR 8000 an excellent 4/5 score, saying that it is "is absolutely brilliant at picking up speed – and on the right trails it's an absolute pinner".

The new BIG.NINE has been heavily revised to make it ready for cross-country race tracks the world over, but the new TR models offer up greater fork travel and more aggressive kit as standard, with 120 mm of suspension and powerful brakes to help make it highly capable for fast trail riding.

With a full carbon fibre construction, the reviewer rated the TR 8000 as having a "direct-feeling, fast-reacting frame that benefits riders who love putting out maximum effort".

With fast rolling but tough tyres from Maxxis and a quality build that includes the latest SRAM GX T-Type drivetrain, the tester said that "the Big.Nine TR surges with every pedal stroke" and that the new AGILOMETER sizing and revised geometry made it "fast-feeling, nimble and eager to pick up speed".
