eONE-EIGHTY wins Design & Innovation Award 2025

Since the inception of the Design & Innovation Award, we have been fortunate to have a long list of wins, from the eONE-SIXTY, through the highly acclaimed models like the ONE-SIXTY, REACTO, SCULTURA, or eSILEX, all the way to the 2024 winner, the SILEX. Over the years, the award has recognised our ongoing efforts to improve our products, introduce real innovation and enhance the riding experience for our customers.

We are delighted to say that our winning streak continues in 2025, with our newly launched Bosch e-bikes winning the prestigious award. First up is our full-support eONE-EIGHTY, which has received plenty of positive press feedback from established titles such as MBR, Pinkbike, E-Mountainbike and Bikeboard, and we are immensely proud to add the Design & Innovations Award 2025 to its list of achievements.

Here is what the Design & Innovations Award jury had to say about our hard-hitting eONE-EIGHTY:
The MERIDA eONE-EIGHTY is a freeride bike that’s built for the gnarliest trails and capable of taking you uphill without the need for a lift. Despite its rugged appearance, which is inevitable given its downhill-oriented spec and sturdy aluminium frame, it’s remarkably playful. This is largely down to the geometry, which features particularly short chainstays, adding a welcome touch of agility to the otherwise stable handling. Together with the new Bosch Performance CX Gen5 motor, this provides beginner-friendly control both on climbs and descents, while also appealing to more experienced riders looking to have fun on the trail. The integrated, removable 800-Wh battery in the downtube is secured with a key lock, and, thanks to its size and the option of swapping it out for a spare battery, it’s ideal for longer rides. The bike also features a high-quality spec, and is built to handle rough trails. Moreover, the standard headlight makes it a good option for commuters. The MERIDA eONE-EIGHTY is a versatile e-bike that not only excites advanced riders but also offers beginners an easy introduction to the world of freeriding.
