Team BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS - 1st 2023 training camp
How does a WorldTour team get ready for the race season? For Team BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS, a big part of the end-of-year-schedule is ensuring that everything is dialled in to perfection for the season ahead at their end-of-year training camp where they gather the entire squad, including staff and equipment sponsors to make use of the perfect conditions around Altea in Spain.
During this first training camp for the 2023 season, the schedule was packed. However, amongst the training rides, medical checks and equipment set-up sessions, there is always time for a slightly more relaxed coffee ride. It also allows the riders to reconnect after a packed racing year and start the process of shaping the team spirit that will help the team through a packed 2023 season.
Follow our ‘riding reporter’ José Antonio Hermida when he joined the camp to touch base with some of the key people and shed some light on the often hidden parts of the team structure. Being a former MTB World Champion himself, he could not resist joining the team for a training ride, so he could experience their often-talked-about coffee-stop culture for himself.
Enjoy!
