SILEX 700 rated "very good" by the German magazine RadFahren

In the latest issue of RadFahren (06/24), the team took a closer look at gravel bikes up to €3,000, including our top-of-the-range aluminium model, the SILEX 700. Right from the start, the 700 impressed with its "remarkable inner values", which the team were keen to explore further.

The "perfect balance" with a moderately sporty riding position really impressed the testers, while the frame "revealed remarkable comfort, enhanced by the 45mm wide Maxxis tyres". In addition, the SILEX is "nimble and accelerates well". A wide-ranging 1x12 GRX groupset allows "steep climbs and fast descents to be pedalled efficiently". The SILEX also impressed the editors with its smoothness and control.

With its many mounting options, the bike is ideal for "bike packers and adventure riders" as well as a more conventional touring bike. The GRX brake system also performed well, being well modulated and powerful.

Their final verdict:
"The MERIDA SILEX 700 is a well-equipped, versatile and well-balanced gravel bike. Smoothness, comfort, acceleration and touring ability are impressive."
