THE NEW eONE-EIGHTY

RIDER FOCUSSED AND READY TO RIP

Calling all heavy hitters, bike park senders and big mountain brawlers, this one’s for you. The new eOne-Eighty has landed and it’s ready to ride the biggest lines and burliest tracks. You can say goodbye to waiting in the uplift queue because it can rip and repeat all day long thanks to a big 800 Wh battery and Bosch CX power.

It’s our longest travel e-bike ever, with 180 mm of suspension at either end and a robust aluminium frame. Add coil shock compatibility, mixed wheel size only setup and a whole host of other features and getting rowdy is where the eOne-Eighty starts, not finishes. Up or down, it’s ready to rock.

This is also our first e-MTB to use the Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit, offering powerful assistance and silent performance with 85 Nm on tap. There’s a serious amount of range thanks to the new 800 Wh battery and an option to add a 250 Wh range extender.

THE CONCEPT

The new eOne-Eighty is highly capable, whether you’re getting sendy in the bike park or tackling super enduro laps in the mountains it won’t disappoint. The geometry and handling are balanced with enough pop to put a smile on your face when sideways mid air/mid corner/mid everywhere but stable enough for the most chaotic tracks when playtime is over and you want to get the hammer down.

Want numbers? A 64.5º head angle creates a planted front end, a 78.5º seat tube angle keeps you in the right place on steep climbs and there’s a stack height of 661 mm and reach of 460 mm for the Mid frame. The Agilometer sizing system allows you to select your frame size based on your handling preference. Instead of seat tube length the bike size is based on the reach measurement. Opt for a longer frame size for a more stable ride or a shorter frame size for a more agile, flickable feeling . Mid sized frames offer a balance of both.

Small, Medium and Large sizes have become Short, Mid and Long so just go with your regular frame size if you’re not sure what you want. The eOne-Eighty wheels are strictly mullet setup, unlike the choice offered on other models. This provides extra clearance and agility, it’s great fun to ride.

A FRAME THAT’S BUILT TO SEND AND LAST

Years of experience of working with aluminium have honed the performance of our 6061 series aluminium alloy. This is hydroformed into shape and the main triangle is robot welded before being finished by hand in our factory in Taiwan. It’s rated for Category 5 riding so you can get stuck into as many bike park laps or downhill tracks as you like without voiding the 5-year warranty.

EASY BATTERY SWAP AND SPACE FOR WATER OR RANGE EXTENDER

The battery can easily be removed for off bike charging or replacement on a really big ride thanks to a frame cut out. A new cover protects from dirt, impact and moisture, holding itself in place with Fidlock magnets. There’s space in the front triangle for a water bottle or you can add a 250 Wh PowerMore range extender, available separately.

ENHANCING YOUR SUPER ENDURO LAPS

The latest long-travel single crown forks have been future proofed by adding 1.8” steerer compatibility, an Acros Block Lock headset to prevent the handlebars getting too friendly with the top tube and a Wire Port cable routing system to keep the look sleek. It’s also got all the usual mod cons like a SRAM UDH, a 220 mm front brake rotor, the ability to run 220 mm at the back and the usual Trail Mount accessory mount and saddle- mounted multitool

EXCELLENT KINEMATIC

NEW SUSPENSION PLATFORM WITH A HELL OF AN APPETITE

180 mm front and rear travel is perfect for rough trails. A pivot point has been added on the seatstay in place of our flexstay system. This increases the travel, offering more movement between the chain and seat stays than a flex pivot can safely cope with. The yoke that drove the shock has been removed, saving weight, reducing complexity and creating a more compact design. This means less side loading on the shock; important on a bike that’s designed to be hammered all day long. Designed to work with the latest highly linear air shocks such as the RockShox Vivid Air, it’s got a fully progressive leverage ratio that works well with coil s too. The sizetuned kinematics that increase progression as you move up the size range have been retained, enabling shorter, lighter riders to access full travel whilst heavier or taller riders get the bottom out support they need.

THE POWER OF BOSCH

The new Bosch Performance Line CX motor has 85 Nm of torque for great climbing power and best in class thermal stability. It can tackle the toughest, steepest, longest climbs over and over again; the drive unit will consistently deliver maximum power without needing time to cool down.

Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery

Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh range extender

Bosch Wireless Mini Remote

Bosch Smart Controller

Bosch Purion 400

A choice of 600 Wh and 800 Wh batteries are available to suit all budgets. Select the new Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery for loads of riding time. With an incredible 205 Wh/kg energy density, it delivers the most punch to weight of any battery in the Bosch arsenal. In contrast, the previous Powertube 750 Wh offered up 174Wh/kg ; gaining more range for the weight has got to be a winner.

If that’s not enough to satisfy your lust for range, you can add a 250 Wh PowerMore range extender, available separately. Weighing just 1.6 kg and fitting to the water bottle mount on the frame, it’s an easy way to ramp up your ride time. The controls and displays are basic; the Bosch Wireless Mini Remote on the bar controls everything whilst the Smart Controller integrated into the top tube displays battery life and assistance level.

You can upgrade to one of Bosch’s extensive range of displays if you want more information but we reckon you’ll want to keep your eyes on the trail ahead, not a screen
