The fifth generation of our lightweight racer marries outstanding handling with improved comfort and an even more aerodynamic chassis. Thanks to incorporating selected aero details from our test and award-winning REACTO aero bike, the SCULTURA is the most aerodynamic version ever. Yet, it remains true to its lightweight, agility and rider comfort focus; in fact it takes these factors to the next level. The SCULTURA demonstrates outstanding compliance, providing the rider with class-leading riding comfort that will help to keep the body fresh for the final sprint or ascent. The CF5 and CF3 carbon versions share their geometry with our REACTO, given the rider Team Bahrain Victorious race-proven handling. Available in carbon and aluminium and as either disc brake or rim brake option, our classic road bike combines outstanding comfort with whippet-like acceleration and class-leading climbing pedigree.

Pri ustvarjanju posameznih ogljikovih elementov se uporablja napihljiv mehur, ki zagotavlja, da v cevi ni gub, saj lahko te dodajo težo in ustvarijo šibkost. Rezultat je svetlejši, trdnejši in močnejši okvir.

NACA FASTBACK PROFIL CEVI

Aerodinamika temelji na profilu NACA0028 v obliki vodne kaplje (Nacionalni svetovalni odbor za aeronavtiko), ki je na koncu "odrezan". Zrak se giblje okrog cevi, kot da je manjkajoči zadnji del solze še vedno tam, pri tem pa zmanjšamo težo saj je pristnega manj materiala.

HLAJENJE DISKOV

Kovani aluminijasti del pod sprednjo in / ali zadnjo čeljustjo, ki omogoča, da se toplota odvaja preko CNC-frezanih hladilnih reber. Preskusi kažejo, da se temperature znižajo za približno 35%, čas hlajenja pa se skrajša, kar izboljša učinkovitost zavor.

NOTRANJA OBJEMKA SEDEŽA

Oblikovanje koles za WorldTour je podobno kot pri F1; navidezno nepomembne podrobnosti lahko pripeljejo do prihranka pomembnih sekund. Integrirano vpenjanje sedežne opore zmanjša turbulenco na zgornji cevi.

PORTAL ZA BOVDNE

MERIDA je zasnovala poseben "portal" za bovdne, ki omogoča, da vsi bovdni iz krmila vstopijo v okvir skozi portal, kar ustvarja čist in neobremenjen videz, omogoča lažjo, močnejšo in bolj aerodinamično strukturo okvirja kot pri običajnih vhodih za kable. Odvisno od modela so kabli speljani povsem znotraj (vključno z oporo in krmilom) ali delno integrirani, kjer kabli vstopajo v okvir pod oporo krmila.
